In the first quarter of 2025, the top cryptocurrency apps on the Android platform in Australia showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. This analysis, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the trends observed for each app.

CoinSpot - Buy & Sell Bitcoin began the quarter with a significant boost in downloads, peaking at over 8.1K in mid-January. However, this momentum did not sustain, and downloads gradually decreased to around 1.5K by the end of March. The app's active users mirrored this trend, starting strong with over 153K in January but declining to approximately 99K by the quarter's end.

Crypto.com: Buy BTC, ETH & CRO experienced a spike in downloads early in the quarter, reaching 6.5K in mid-January. Following this peak, downloads fell to around 1.3K by late March. Active users also showed a downward trend, decreasing from 58K at the start of the quarter to about 41K by March.

Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto had a notable increase in downloads in mid-January, reaching 3.8K, but numbers fell to approximately 1.6K by the end of the quarter. Active users also saw a decline from 109K in January to around 60K by March.

Coinbase: Buy BTC, ETH, SOL saw a moderate rise in downloads in mid-January, peaking at 3.6K, before declining to just over 1K by the end of March. Active user numbers also dropped from 30K in January to around 16K by the quarter's close.

Finally, Bybit: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto experienced fluctuations in downloads, with a peak of 3.2K in mid-January, eventually dropping to 692 by the end of March. Interestingly, active users for Bybit increased from 14K in January to a peak of 18.5K in early March, before declining to 13.5K by the end of the quarter.
